1Life Events and Associated Policies
Links to staff and faculty policies, and associated forms related to managing life events that impact our work day. Employees should always work with their supervisor to ensure they receive the appropriate available support.
2Daycare
Work/Life is committed to providing information that assists UMB’s staff and faculty in meeting their family responsibilities. The organizations that have offered to extend UMB employees a discount will require validation of University employment upon registering your child. The University is providing this information and it recommends that the parents investigate each site based on their individual needs.
3Camps
Work/Life is committed to providing information that assists UMB’s students and employees in meeting their family responsibilities.  Listed below are some resources to assist with finding summer camps.  The organizations that have offered to extend UMB employees/students a discount will require validation of University employment/enrollment upon registering your child.  Although the University is providing information it recommends that the parents investigate each site based on their individual needs and understanding that there are different accreditations to be considered.
4Eldercare
Today many of us find that in addition to taking care of our children (and sometimes their children) we are also called to assist with our aging parents. They may only need a little help, a significant amount of help, or it may be time to decide they can no longer live on their own. Reba Cornman, MSW, Director of the Geriatrics and Gerontology Education and Research (GGEAR) Program for the University has created a new web site to provide valuable information and links on eldercare. It contains helpful web based information to assist in locating accurate information on a range of topics.
5Volunteer
Various volunteering opportunities to share yourself with others.
