Work/Life is committed to providing information that assists UMB’s staff, and faculty in meeting their family responsibilities.  Listed below are some resources to assist with finding childcare.  The organizations that have offered to extend UMB employees a discount will require validation of University employment upon registering your child.  Although the University is providing child care information it recommends that the parents investigate each site based on their individual needs and understanding that there are different accreditations to be considered.

Community Resources offering corporate discounts for Child Care to UMB employees
(Please note that for some centers the discount applies only to that specific location while others cover all sites.  Should your child attend a daycare center that is not listed here for which a corporate discount may be offered, please have the center contact the Work/Life Strategies office at 410-706-6342)

Celebree Learning Centers

 Flexible Spending Account

Offered in conjunction with your State of Maryland Benefits it gives you the ability to take advantage of tax savings on eligible dependent care expenses.  Enrollment must occur either during the annual open enrollment period or within 60 days of starting day care or the birth of a child.  Information can be found in the State of Maryland Benefits Guide and ConnectYourCare (effective 7/1/2010)
